Spiritual Holiday!

“You no more need a holiday from spiritual concentration than your heart needs a holiday from beating. You cannot have a moral holiday and remain moral, nor can you have a spiritual holiday and remain spiritual. God wants you to be entirely His, and this means that you have to watch to keep yourself fit. It takes a tremendous amount of time. Some of us expect to “clear the numberless ascensions” in about two minutes.”

Back to Joseph…flee

Genesis 39.9b

Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, 7 and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!”

8 But he refused. “With me in charge,” he told her, “my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care. 9 No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” 10 And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.

11 One day he went into the house to attend to his duties, and none of the household servants was inside.12 She caught him by his cloak and said, “Come to bed with me!”
But he left his cloak in her hand and ran out of the house. Genesis 39:6-12

We Feel your Silence in this noisy Life We Live

We miss those memories we shared with you Treasures

We miss your Voices Whispering that Life is Hope and Courage

We miss your precious advices you would tell us to comfort us

We miss the Strength you had for us to be Strong everyday

We Long for the Love and Compassion you’ve always Showed us

We Strive hard to make you Proud wherever We are

We Work hard to be Champions and Successful

We Smile to be Strong and Happy in every situation

We Look Forward for the Bright Future We are not giving up

We Study hard to fulfill all those dreams you had you’ve never achieved

We Love too Deep to Spread the Love all over the World

Adulting and Hard Things

One of my favorite Jesus girls, Lisa Whittle posted something today that had me smacking my desk at work and nodding a big “uhh huh… yes ma’am” out loud. (I was on a distracted Instagram break… I know nobody ever does that.)

“Here’s what I’ve realized. People can do hard things without God. But we can’t do hard things without God and be truly ok. Eventually everything will crack and crumble.”

Isn’t that the truth. I’ve seen this little saying all over the place, maybe you have too:

“We can do hard things.”

True? Sometimes. I imagine this to be some kind of rally cry response to that other popular t-shirt catch phrase “Adulting is hard”.

Being a grown up is hard. It requires us to do crappy, difficult things at times. We can do it alone or with Jesus, it’s our choice…. Continue reading on the link below:

The Discipline Of Spiritual Tenacity!

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

Tenacity is more than endurance, it is endurance combined with the absolute certainty that what we are looking for is going to transpire. Tenacity is more than hanging on, which may be but the weakness of being too afraid to fal off. Tenacity is the supreme effort of a man refusing to believe that his hero is going to be conquered. The greatest fear a man has is not that he wil be damned, but that Jesus Christ wil be worsted, that the things He stood for – love and justice and forgiveness and kindness among men – wil not win out in the end; the things He stands for look like wil -o’-the-wisps. Then comes the cal to spiritual tenacity, not to hang on and do nothing, but to work deliberately on the certainty that God is not going to be worsted.

If our hopes are being disappointed just now, it means that they are being purified. There is nothing noble the human mind has ever hoped for or dreamed of that wil not be fulfil ed. One of the greatest strains in life is the strain of waiting for God. “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience.”

Remain spiritually tenacious.
