ATTENTION Dear bloggers, A CALL TO SHARE THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS.

It’s been only a month that I have joined this medium of blogging. I was inevitably flabbergasted by its popular use by countless people. I have tried to blog two years ago and I thought I knew what I was going to do but It turned out to be utterly impossible for various reasons (I won’t state them). I am under impression that this thing is really utilized by a lot of people, Christians and non-Christians, around many parts of the world with different motives.

Today, I have an indelible question on my mind – and it seems like I can’t get over it. What do Christians blog about? I like to talk to people directly and explicitly – I feel like it makes more sense than talking ABOUT people. If YOU are a Christian, what are YOUR posts about? It really grieves my soul when I come across posts where Christians tell what they have had on their breakfast – Do we care?  You write about what this man told that man on your so-called favorite TV show – Really? Do we care? Like the world, you are updating us when season 5 of “so and so” HELL-WOOD series is coming out – Do we care? Interestingly enough, you write about it as though it’s the most interesting and fascinating thing in the world to know. shame. That is a waste of time friend.

Our minds are very sophisticated and over the years, I’ve realized that people don’t like to be busy – People so much like the feeling they get when they know others know they are busy or involved in something. Can you make time for God in your life? It’s URGENT.

They are sooo many people around the world who are longing to read a message you can share with them on here. Can you give it a thought? Can you tell me how I, Charles got on your blog? Did you plan that a certain young man from a village of a tiny but crowded country (Rwanda) located in Eastern Africa will be reading your posts? DO YOU REALIZE HOW MUCH YOUR POSTS ABOUT JESUS CHRIST – yes your 200 or 300 words – CAN IMPACT OTHERS? Don’t you have an inexorable desire to see Jesus touching many lives?

I know some of you may NOT like what I am saying but remember this: “Bitter herbs” are good for health.

Believe it or not – Someone somewhere may stumble on your posts and you never know how they may impact them.

Here is my bottom line:

When It’s all been said and done – all our treasures, diplomas, famous websites, jobs and confidence – will mean NOTHING. ONLY what we’ve done for love’s reward will STAND the test of time.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

  1. Hey 🙂 I found your blog because you found mine and I always like to look and see who is looking at me!

I write about what God is teaching me. Most days the blog is a reflection of something from my quiet prayer and bible time with Him earlier. I do try to introduce my thoughts with something people identify easily with and then link that with what lesson I have learned.

It is intensely and sometimes embarrassingly, personal but I truly feel the Holy Spirit inspires me to be transparent about my faith and share what might touch others and encourage them.

God bless you in Rwanda my brother. I shall be adding you to my prayer list that God will touch and encourage you and inspire you to become a man of God who stands unashamed of the Gospel at all times and confident in His guidance and blessing.

  2. To be honest, this is heart touching and teaching my heart… I wish this message was shared to all believers around the world.

I used to post nonsense, I came to realize that I was wasting my time as well as others time.

Our posts are read by more than a million people, may be God can heal them through that very post.

May the Lord forgive us and change our minds.

“I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ who gave His life for me”

    Thank you Charles

  3. Hi M.C.
You’ve made some great points. As Christians, we’re called to be witnesses of this great and beautiful gospel. We can do so in many ways:
    – daily living: others can see our changed hearts reflected through the reformed life we live.
    – through telling others of the good news of the gospel. [n.b. telling people they’re going to hell is not good news]
    – through demonstrating the kingdom of heaven here on earth. we do so by doing what Jesus commanded us to do: heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead; feed & clothe orphans and widows.
    – through letting our lives be an expression of the love of God who dwells in us- love God, love others as ourselves.
in essence, living by the spirit, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

unfortunately, much of the world is busy -busy denying God, busy turning away from sound doctrine & giving heed to outright lies and half-truths, busy being entertained with nothingness, being passive about life etc.

As Curry Blake would say, if you haven’t found a gospel worth dying for, you haven’t found a gospel worth living for.
    Blessings.

  4. I blog as a journal of what the Lord is feeding me. I’m happy to share my crumbs, and I’m thankful for the others that share theirs as well. Additionally, Journaling my lessons and thoughts transparently is a good way to allow for accountability from this that read.

I am just a messenger, so I share the divine instruction, guidance and message that I receive Daily from the Word of God and from the conviction of the Holy Spirit, from within the meager confines of my own simple delivery. So any beauty is His, and any fault is mine.

I don’t have an agenda, nor do I focus on v results and outcomes, as I don’t want to be led by my own prideful chains of the wind, I just want to share and grow in truth.

    Does it evangelize at times?
    Yes.

Does it sharpen others at times?
    Yes.

Does it humble me and teach me?
    Continually.

It also serves as a great resource to fall back on if you use categories and tags to make it easy to search later based on topic, etc.

I shared on Facebook daily for a year before I found WordPress, and this has so many helpful tools. I can make the delivery as professional as my day’s schedule allows for, and it is a joy encountering others who are also seeking first the Kingdom of God, and serving the Lord with their lives as a living sacrifice to bring honor and glory to His name.

    1. Thank you sooo much Harold, that’s exactly what we should be doing. Sharing the message of the cross is worth it and it’s biblical. Hope you have a blessed day in the Lord!

  5. As the comments continue, I agree with “theancients” above. We are witnesses. This means that in our words (blogs?) and deeds we should demonstrate the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. And whether we are discussing theological and spiritual truths or sharing an everyday Kingdom moment, God needs to shine through. Good post. Good reminder to us all. Blessing on you.

  6. I do not know what more to say Charles. Why is it so? Well, because I am inspired and speechless. To be frank, you made me think twice about what I read and write about. THANK YOU AND NEVER GIVE UP PREACHING THIS-THE BITTER TRUTH

    1. Thank you sooo much Jackson. Sorry for my late reply. Be encouraged brother 😀 In a world of politacal correctness, people NEED to hear the TRUTH. God’s Word is TRUTH John 17:17. Thank you so much Jackson.

  7. Be encouraged! When my retirement efforts as a Christian writer and publisher were not supported with zeal by family, friends, the congregations, and others, I found myself an under-used and under-valued resource from GOD, who wanted to continue sharing, without making merchandise of his sacred word and saving gifts. Seeking to be unselfish, I chose a format for my sacred writings blog where I would daily answer at least one of the questions posted by others at the “Yahoo! Answers” site within the category of Religion and Spirituality. I now think of the work as “apostolic” in its nature and process, because it is at once a separation to the holy writings, a form of “preaching” and carrying the Word to the world as well as a response intended for GOD no less than confession praise, reverence and thanksgiving.

    1. That’s a great choice Michael. Your blog posts are so rich and people can benefit from them.

I am glad that there are people willing to use their time to help people strengthen their walk with the Lord.

Keep up the good job brother Michael. God bless you and keep you !

  8. I agree with what you say…there are many different people blogging about things which either have little or nothing to do with the Christian message, or they are writing out of context about the gospel. The problem is that everyone is a “teacher,” and few if any want to be “students.”

This is a dangerous path, as those who teach will be held to a stricter standard when they are judged by God, (James 3:1). We should all be teaching from the Holy Bible alone as nothing else is completely inspired by God, and God alone. Man’s teachings are flawed and shouldn’t be used in religious instruction, period.

And when teaching from God’s word, we should consider all the the bible has to say on a topic so as to get the context right. Far too many times this is not so as I have seen it over the years I’ve been blogging in the “Christian” community.

I do apologize if I have offended anyone with my remarks, but what I have said seems to be very true to me…

      1. Amen and Amen to that! And the problem is that one day, those who practice such things will need to answer to God for failing to “rightly divide” the word of truth!

Enjoy your day and thank you for your support here!
